North Pines is the best campground, loved being so close to the river and Curry Village.

Our group hiked Vernal and Nevada falls, floated the river and visited glacier point! Highly recommend

We stayed at site 509 for about a week and while all campsites seem crammed together in this campground, it was amazing to view Half Dome and Yosemite Falls right from our campsite w/ the Merced River flowing right by us. We saw a bear waltz toward campsites near us around Noon during one of our days there. Everyone scared it off by shouting. The rangers were there in a heartbeat to take a report. It was kind of neat, but it also reminded us why we have to be so cautious by storing food/toiletries in bear bins and disposing waste water. Speaking of which, they have a waste water disposal area at the bathrooms. There are no showers at this campground, but the camp host let us know that you can get showers for $5 at Curry Village (nearby). This campground has flushing toilets and that's a big deal to some people in my group. It also has hydration stations and a place to get potable water. This came in handy. We walked to the famous Mist Trail Trailhead, which was about a mile away from this campground - huge bonus. I recommend not taking the street to the Mist Trail, but taking the trail that follows the river. The waterfalls were all still booming as of late July 2023 and the mosquitos were not that bad at all, but we still used bug spray at times during our trip. What an epic year and an awesome campground!

Camped right by the Merced river and the view I had was of Half Dome. What else could you ask for. The campground is nothing special, place to park, fireplace and access to a clean bathroom. But let’s be honest, anywhere in the valley is natures wonderland. I appreciated have a place to camp.

North Pines has triple views of Yosemite landmarks - Half Dome, Glacier Point and Yosemite Falls. This spectacle is enhanced by the sound of the river. Campground is visited by coyotes, raccoons and deer. Stellar Jays and Ravens are entertained by the humans that visit. Great place to be.

We loved this campsite, close to the river and the restrooms. Plenty of shade, which is a plus during the hot summer days.

Great campground close to the river. Been there late fall twice and both times felt fortunate to be in North Pines.

Great location. Camp hosts did a great job of making sure rules were followed although there were some people that made a decent bit of noise late into the night.
