Site #502 at Notth Pines was amazing! We were right on the water where Tenaya Creek meets the Merced River. The views were beautiful! We couldnt have asked for anything more.

NPS does a nice job managing all the people in YNP. It's impressive.

The bathrooms definitely could use updating and regular cleaning. I have been to many CA state campgrounds where the facilities were in far better condition. I'm not sure what's up with the NPS but the condition of the bathrooms, in general, are unacceptable (spoken as a taxpayer). Otherwise the campground location itself is, of course, amazing...being located in Yosemite Valley.

I was in campsite 502.
Such a beautiful site next to the Tenaya Creek and Merced river. When I left to get dinner and came back our campsite was starting to flood. It was a site to see.

North Pines campgrounds has the best camping in Yosemite Valley. We got lucky with the lottery and the weather turned out to be perfect. There was a flood warning issued which had us worried since our campsite was right at the intersection of Tenaya Creek and the Merced River. However, the floods never materialized and we had a great stay. The waterfalls were pouring like crazy. The hikes to Lower Yosemite Falls and Mirror Lake were great with the dogs and the Ahwahnee Hotel was a great place to relax and enjoy the views. The Ahwahnee is under renovation so the main dining room was closed. Spring was late due to the extended winter storms so the the dogwood wasn't blooming but it was still beautiful!
