North Pines is by far one of the great campgrounds around and has incredible views of Half Dome and the Arches. Hard to get a spot but worth it!

We had the best week in Yosemite National Park. We were overjoyed when we were able to book a site in the North Pines Campground through the lottery. The campground is close to everything. We biked on all of the trails; ate at Curry Village; and hiked. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The rangers/camp hosts were very helpful; they enforced the rules; and drove around at night to check on things. We stayed in site #323. We have a 35 foot Fifth Wheel and a F-450 crew cab Ford truck. We were able to fit both, but it was a tight squeeze. We had 2 other sites very close to us, but it was totally fine. The other campers were very friendly and quiet. We were just steps away from the river. The bathroom was also close (perfect proximity) for convenience. The site is completely shaded, which was nice, but we were unable to use our solar. There was one open spot for our Starlink. It worked okay, but there were a lot of obstructions. Campground gets smoky in the evening, due to the campfires. We are hoping we can get this same spot next year, because it was perfect for our needs.

This site will fit a 35 foot RV without having to back up over the curb. The curb is low and can be backed over. This is a very shaded site which makes it hard to get solar. It is also hard to get Starlink reception. But this is Yosemite Valley and it is where you want to be.It would be better if you could pull into the site because the table and fire ring are on the other side. When backing in the table is on the drivers side. There is no room to move the table to the passenger side. It would also be difficult to pull into the site because of the one way roads. I hope this helps RVers out.

My campsite was beautiful and clean. I was surprised at how quiet and respectful other campers were at night. The kiosk attendant was super sweet and helpful!

We enjoyed our stay. Our site was pretty close to the river. Plenty of space overall but really close to two of the neighbor spaces.

Of the 3 main Curry Village campgrounds, North Pines is the quietest and most beautiful. Had a fantastic site closer to the river, just a few over from sites with full & clear views of Half Dome. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Even occasionally got a whiff of cell phone service!

My kids never would have left if they were given the choice. This campground sits right on the Merced River. My kids played in the river non-stop. The drive aisles and pads at each site are narrow, so I advise honing your driving/trailering skills before you arrive. The scenery around the campsite - the river, the towering granite cliffs - are jaw-dropping. My only complaint is about inconsiderate campers. If you come to Yosemite, please leave your boom box at home. We are here to hear nature, not your sound system. Also, forget about cell service, it is intermittent at the campground, at best, and I am grateful for that. I suggest bringing your bikes. This is a great campground to ride your bike through, and it is connected to the extensive bike trail system within the Yosemite Valley. You won't want to drive your car around the valley while camping here. Just ride to everything and forget about parking. This is one of our family's happy places.
