We had a fabulous stay with our RV pitch right next to the beautiful Merced river. Plenty of facilities in easy reach and friendly and helpful rangers when you have questions. Highly recommend.

Site 322 is listed as RV only. It was able to accommodate our tent (albeit was super close to the other sites) but it worked for us. Camping in the Valley meant we didnt have to worry about parking and could walk or shuttle everywhere. Quiet hours are not really observed so it was difficult to rest, but we had fun. The views and the river were incredible.

We loved how centrally located the campground is with ease of access to the trails, biking paths, Curry Village, etc. We especially enjoyed the access to the river to cool off in the hot afternoons.

Hello everyone,The campground is great! We did run into an issue this trip. Most of the trees in the campground were dripping sap onto vehicles in their campsites. Luckily our rig was parked between two trees and it only got a few drops on it. However, the RVs and tow vehicles in the surrounding campsites go hammered with sap. Without exaggerating the tow behind vehicle directly across from us was completely covered in sap. There was even sap on all 4 sides of the car. Since the campground was full there were no additional spaces available to avoid the sap. I recognize there is noting the campground can do about this but I want to warn those who plan to stay in North Pines during this time frame. According to a campground worker the trees usually drop sap in October but not as much as they did this month.

We stayed 3 nights in July 2019. Very beautiful and peaceful. No bathing facility, so bring your own of use the river.
