Campsites are nice, but there is still noise from generators and barking dogs.

Can't beat the location right in the valley with a river for swimming right next to the campground! The location is definitely the biggest benefit - the campsites themselves are pretty cramped and not very private. I'd recommend earplugs if you are a light sleeper. There are some sites that are vastly nicer than others - generally around the outside of the campground. I was pleased with site 312. It was slightly more private/larger than its neighbors and could fit 2-3 normal size tents. It also had some shade during the day.

Site had room for two camper vehicles. Clean. AT&T service didnt work at the campsite but was fine in Yosemite Village. Site 312.

Campsite is a short walk from the river and has granite cliff views. The restrooms were clean. Great campsite.

We loved being at this campground right in the valley. Plus we were by the Merced and Tenaya Creek. Our site (312) was a bit rough because it was sandwiched in between two other sites with big flat areas. But our site had uneven ground, so it was harder for a big tent to fit.

North Pines is our go to campground at YNP. This time we were there late Sept so it was somewhat quite. Stables were closed. Rivers were down. Great camp hosts. Mild temps and some interesting campers.
