We greatly enjoyed our stay at North Pines in Yosemite. We called the campground office to let them know we were backpacking into the valley and not positive on our arrival date and they made sure to hold onto our reservation and not cancel it for a no show, when we arrived over a day late. Site 303 worked for us and was right beside the restrooms. We enjoyed watching the backpackers leaving from the backpackers campground, as they mostly walked right past the site. Tenaya Creek was right across the road and the kids enjoyed playing there. The only thing that was unpleasant was the fact that through the hottest part of the day, there was no shade. So it was definitely not the place to be from 10-4.

I spent one night in site 303. It it been cleared of brush and is not as small, or as close to the restroom, as the photo would lead you to believe. I had a nice level spot for a small 7'x7' tent. Bonus was that a large RV in 301 blocked the noise and light from the restroom. The quiet hours were well observed during my stay, and the camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. This campground has easy access to the water and a nearby shuttle stop.

I've been going to Yosemite for over 50 years. The rangers were constantly bugging us, and at one point made us move a car that we were unloading because it was in a hikers parking area. The next day, they allowed someone to camp there for the next few days. The camp sit that we got was too small as well. The valley is becoming too busy.

campsite North Pines 303 extremely small, so would try not to book it again. It is also very close to river and was muddy all the time & very close to being flooded at night. Luckily rangers found us another campsite for a few nights to help keep us dry. In high water years I would avoid this site.
