Fire pit in site number 213 is very dangerous, cut off and moves around. Hazard for kids and adults. Volunteer camp host was awesome. Some bathrooms are still with damaged plumbing and not ADA compliant. Its the Feds and they are not ADA compliant for decades with their campground bathrooms. They charge $36 bucks a night to camp in substandard campsites and old damaged bathrooms. Embarrassing really, been this way for decades, with plenty of excuses. Nice new bathrooms for the bus tourists in the village though, again inequality to campground management and maintenance and infrastructure.

campground is clean and beautiful, right under the Half Dome! With a few steps walk, I can enjoy the spectacular view of Yosemite!!

Site 213 is great with plenty of shade. Short distance from river access and not too close to the restroom. We will be coming back to North Pines!

Our site was perfect, plenty of space for our 10X10 tent, but the fire pit could have been placed in a better spot.

So close to trailheads and curry village. Restrooms are decent and there is always toilet papers. Peaceful and clean. If you can, try to snag the spots right along the merced river.

We had a great experience camping in the valley. Vernal Falls is within walking distance to the campsite, which is a hike that I cannot recommend enough. There are also tons of accommodations around the valley area, a big grocery store, The Awahnee, etc. Oh, and the scenery at the campsite was beautiful too :-)

Campsite is great. Good tree cover but you can walk to a meadow to see the stars.

Cons: Many of the pine trees in this campground, drop sap, and you can't walk around the campsite without getting it on your shoes which then become loaded with pine needles. impossible to get the sap off. Also you can't leave anything out under the branch line because of this. Also, in the Fall there is very little sun gets into the campground and what does is filtered, so if you have an RV with solar it does no good and you'll have to run the generator. Poor to non-existant Verizon cell signal. Pros: Only a short walk to a few of the best hiking trails in the Valley, and strong cell signal. Adjacent to the campground with the RV dump station.

Loved camping in the valley! I wish the bathrooms where cleaner, but that wouldn't stop me from enjoying Yosemite.

Our site was clean and easily accessible. Great spot to set up and easily walk down to the river. Between my brothers and I, split between 2 tents, we had more than enough room and bear locker storage for our week long stay.
