Both volunteers and paid staff were great! They kept the campground clean and were very friendly. My only concern is the invasive weeds in the area. I hope that NPS can devote some staff to invasive species removal.

Overall, it was a good camping experience. Lots of people, but not too noisy at night.Campground volunteer hosts were very friendly and provided great information.Site 136 is in a good location. Parking pad is a bit bumpy. The restrooms were clean. The restroom lights stay on all night and shine out on some of the campsites.

Site 136- located near water( October water was still)- was able to fit both my 23 foot trailer and Chevy 2500 if I parked in a T shape. - small trail runs between back of camp site and water, you have mountain bikes and hikers walking near your site. - all motorized through traffic has to come by your site.

Truly, one of the best hikes I've ever been on in California. For the best experience, I would definitely recommend that you leave early, bring plenty enough water, and take it one step at a time. The lakes are totally worth the effort, just be sure to leave them better than you found them. Leave no trace.
