We loved camping at North Pines! Campsites are close together but its a popular destination so thats expected. Our campsite was very shaded and just across the street from the river. When we were there the river was pretty low and mellow but very inviting. We visited the end of August 2024 and temperatures were hot during the day and comfortable/cool at night. Theres a 5-10pm fire curfew so we ended up buying a butane stove at the Curry Village Mountain shop to cook breakfasts on. The bathrooms were well maintained and had flushable toilets and running water but there was no soap so be sure to bring your own! There was a drinking water refill station and a camping sink water/gray water dumping station which were both very convenient. Food and any scented toiletries have to be kept in bear boxes at each campsite at all times and we saw park rangers checking campsites and giving warnings to campers not taking this seriously. There is also a shuttle stop just outside the campground that makes it super easy to get around Yosemite Valley. 10/10 recommendation North Pines and we cant wait to come back!

Really nice camp hosts and a lot less busy than other campgrounds nearby! I was really happy with my choice of site 529 which was close enough to the river, with a nice view of it (i.e., no neighbors across from us) and without much risk of being flooded. A bunch of sites flooded during our stay here, like site 520, where the water crept up until the fire ring was surrounded. Surprisingly not that many mosquitoes despite proximity to water. Pretty sure we had a bear visit in the night, but no problem chasing it off with some loud noise.

North Pines campground, site 529. Excellent! Neighbors are not right on top of you at this site and it is across the lane from the river. Staff and volunteers at the campground were helpful and kind.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
