Small but nice campground near Custer State Park. The campground is older so many spaces are not suitable for larger RVs with slide outs. Looking at the campsite photos helped us find a site we fit in. Very peaceful with a short, scenic hiking trail from the campground.

Most sites unlevel. Very few sites could accommodate our 25 trailer and pickup. Very confusing registration process. Sign says to stop and register but no instructions. Very frustrating.

We were in space 54D. Be very very careful about reserving as some spots are tiny. We saw several people trying to cram their campers into spots that were just not big enough. Very quiet, the entire park is gorgeous. Get up at dawn and drive the Loop Rd.. you will definitely see a TON of Bison. We were out there by ourselves and ended up being surrounded by these magnificent creatures. Take the cave tour. It was really well presented. I love this park now. Its quiet and beautiful, and the weather was incredible in July.

We have stayed here several times now and always enjoy the beautiful scenery and the Ranger talks. We will return when we are back in the area. Some of the sites are small and not very level. Multiple flush toilet buildings is an appreciated amenity

Sites were small and sloped. Had a hard time getting our motorhome level. The campground needs updating to accommodate larger motorhomes. Acquiring cell service to register is frustrating, another method should be available for those not able to find cell service. The location is perfect, and we heard the elk trumpeting at night!

Stay as long as you can and enjoy every moment you will experience. Thank you to everyone at WICA for the work you do in protecting and conversing this place. The campground was wonderful.

Campground was easy access. There were no trees in the circle where we camped, and the sites were very close together. Plenty of Water accessible. WI-FI available, but only at the entrance and camp hosts site. Host was congenial and invited us to use his picnic table while accessing WI-FI. The bathroom floors were nasty - looked like they hadnt been mopped in a while. Trash was picked up, but the sinks were dirty - just not cleaned. The grounds were well maintained. We stayed 2 nights and visited Custer State Park, Wind Cave, and went to Hot Springs. We appreciated the location for our side trips, and the ease in booking online.
