The campground has a tents only loop. Every National park should have one. Are you hearing this, Capitol Reef?

We had a lovely campsite. It was close to the bathrooms, which is what we needed as we were camping with my 83 year old dad! It rained, so we didn't get to do the hike around the campground. Bathrooms were clean. I loved the easy location to the visitor's center, especially since we didn't preorder cave passes. My son got in line around 7:00 AM, got the tickets, and was back in time to help us pack up camp.

Beautiful quiet site for camping. Made it easy to enjoy early morning hikes in the park.

Enjoyed camping in Loop A ( Tent loop) where many of the sites had some shade were well laid out. Sites were spread out enough to enjoy the evening outdoors. Ranger program was excellent. Location of the campground was secluded yet close to the visitor center, giving a real feeling of being in the woods, with no street noise. The only reason I deducted one star is the restrooms, while they were were flush toilets, and the toilets and sinks were clean; the buildings were dated (no ADA stalls and lights that stayed on all night rather than motion sensor lights), so they attracted insects drawn to the light, which attracted spiders. It appeared that the high windows were not regularly cleaned and as they were full of spiderwebs and dead insects.

Great campground, even without shower facilities. Try to avoid a campsite by the bathrooms. The lights on that building by are much too light and will keep you up. Have details about your site reservation handy. The check-in process is relying on you and familiarity with the app is scant. Enjoy listening to bison bellow as you sleep - its a wonderful experience.

Lovely campground. Wildlife was seen all over the area to watch or listen to. It is also close to the visitor center making it very easy to get to our tours.

Jeffrey Little and his wife were the most helpful, kind camp hosts! They helped us with everything and kept the camp clean. The area is beautiful and their presence there only enhanced the experience.
