The location was very beautiful just offset from the road and the outhouse was at a very convenient location. We enjoyed the privacy and simplicity of the site.

Didn't know there would be a freight train barreling down the tracks on the other side of the river every so often throughout the night.

The stream is a joy to sit by or to swim in, the bottom is round river rocks so a little slippy getting in. The host is a friendly guy, very helpful. Some sites here are fantastic and some are a little disappointing, it's a mixed bag. The FF sites along the river are best.

This campground is gorgeous, right in a forest and next to the water. The sites have quite a bit of room. The bathrooms are clean. It took some asking to find out where the host was as it wasn't clear and we didn't see them make rounds. Eventually we found out that they don't sell firewood, but there are plenty of places to buy some in nearby Oakridge and there was a surprising amount of fallen branches and twigs at the site. My kids had fun in the water and I was amazed by the wildlife. So many birds! We saw several saw-whet owls around our tent site and then dozens of western tiger swallowtail butterflies congregating on the riverbank. Loved all the maple, cedar, and ferns, too! Would definitely visit again.

Campsites were clean. The pit toilet was cleaned regularly. Easy access to the river. There were many campers there with kayaks or mountain bikes. We used it as a staging site to drive to Crater Lake which is about 2 hours away.
