Beautiful campground with lots of enormous trees and shrubs. As tent campers we felt that the sites are large enough and well spaced enough to allow for some privacy. We were not directly next to the river but could hear it. The total number of sites is small so that seems to lend itself to a quieter setting. We heard very little traffic noise from the highway. We would come back.

Bathrooms were filthy - not clean when we arrived and never cleaned while we were there. Trash containers were over-flowing when we arrived - emptied four days later.

The hosts were very friendly and informative. Drinking water is available by hand pumps in the campground. There are vault toilets only. There is no lighting, so it is nice to sleep in pitch dark and listen to the river. The campground is just off of Rt.126, so we did hear some traffic noise at times.
We went to Sahalie and Koosah falls nearby. These falls are a definite must see. The McKenzie River Trail is very scenic. Blue Pool access was closed, so maybe we can see it next visit.

Arrived on Labor Day fir a two night stay. Very few camping πŸ‘πŸ» No neighbors and the camp host changed my reservation to one of the best riverside campsites in the grounds.

I do not recommend site #7 for anything other than a tent! We showed up with our 20 ft trailer and there was no way we were getting in this spot. It says it can accommodate a 25ft trailer and there is NO way. It doesn't mention that the width is probably less than 10 ft, so even if we could back in to it, it would be tight with the slide out and no chance you are getting your awning out with the trees and brush. Also to say this is riverfront is very misleading. There is no direct access to the river from this site. There is a lot of brush and in order to get to river you'd be walking through your neighbors site. While you can hear the river you do not have a view or a path that isn't overgrown. The camp host was nice and even admitted that site 7 is really tight and she has problems with people not being able to fit in it. We had our choice of first come sites (because it was a million degrees)that we could have moved to, but of course had to pay extra. We wouldn't get a refund on the site we booked and couldn't use. We decided to not stay, mostly beacuse it was just too hot with no hookups. The campground looked pretty though and was relatively untouched by wildfires that raged the area last fall. We may try again next year

It was a great experience for my sons first camping trip. My sons loved seeing the animals that showed up for visits . We will going back next year and for years to come.

Definitely would NOT recommend site 7 for anything other than a car and tent. It says you can fit a 24 ft trailer but there is no way the trailer would fit in the tiny space let alone the car that pulls it. Fortunately we had others in the group that were willing to change spots with us. However, they were not arriving until the next day so needless to say it was a little stressful figuring out what to do for the night. Overall, the campground is beautiful and the hosts were friendly and kept the sites very clean.
