Location was great for waterfall hikes. It was nice to be able to just hike from our campsite. The trails are in great condition. When chosing this location, I felt that there would be easy access to the lake itself, and there is not. The road to the day use area is closed which almost spelled disaster when we could barely turn around. Make sure to check if the day use area is open to be able to enjoy the lake.

Great campground...nicely separated from other sites so you are not on top of each other. Lovely sound of the river rushing. Super nice and clean toilets. Amazing hikes right there to the Waterfall Loop and down to the Blue Pool! Perfect no cell service for Verizon to check out from the world. Highly suggest this campsite!

Always love coming to Ice Cap. Clean bathrooms, good sites, and easy access to hikes.

It is a nice, quiet, wooded, clean campground with nicely maintained pit toilet restrooms and available water. There is easy access to the McKenzie River Trail and other hiking. However, it is mostly set up for tent camping and if you want to take your RV, you should probably scout it out before you go so that you can park your rig. All in all, excellent.
