Great little campground. Clean bathrooms, respectful neighbors, and the constant sounds of the creek/river drown out the road.
Site 21 was probably the most private, which was a big plus, but it wasn't without it's downsides. It's down below the road, so you'll be loading and unloading via stairs. The site is also on a decent slope except for one single-tent-sized area. I would not recommend this site if you will have more than one tent.

Such a treat to stay at Ice Cap! Loved that the falls are so close and being close to many other places such as Clear Lake and Tamolitch falls. Site 21 was amazingly secluded and had a creek running right through it. The bathrooms were also spotless and the camp host was super helpful. Only downside were the mosquitoes!!! We left with so many bug bites. Otherwise, this is an amazing campground.

We thoroughly enjoyed our camping trip to Ice Cap Campground. Quick walk to the Koosah Falls trailhead. Easy access to Clear Lake and Blue Pool. The camp host was super nice! Toilets were clean and regularly clean during our three night stay. Clean and nicely sized sites.

What a sweet little campground, near wonderful places. Bathrooms were impeccable, guests were respectful; the camp host even lent us a pot during our stay, since we forgot ours. Stayed at site 21, which *is* nice and private, but is also slanted by the table and fire pit; go for 20 or 19, I’d say. The McKenzie is amazing; we could have done the 3mi waterfall loop many times over. Spent a morning fishing at nearby Clear Lake (plus a trail run around the lake!), drove up the McKenzie pass to the D. Wright Observatory (then to Sisters for ice cream), and had fun exploring the campground with our 7 year olds. My heart is heavy about the forest fires, which started in earnest on the Sunday we drove home.

We've gone for years. One of the big attractions is Carmen Reservoir. Imagine our surprise when it disappeared along with the fishing which was the main reason we were there. The lake disappeared into a lava tube months before. It would have been very easy for the .gov to have let people know or it is the Forest Service's responsibility to report on such a major event. The campground is very nice tho.
