We had never stayed here but it is now one we will keep on our list of go tos. It was relatively quiet and sites werent on top of each other. Bob the host was very friendly and helpful.

The campsite was clean and the host friendly and helpful so this is in no way a reflection on his work but I found Whispering Falls to be underwhelming. Its location right next to the road was far more important than I had expected, based on other reviews. I was in site 16 and the road noise was very noticeable there; traffic is moving past at quite a speed and the big rigs in particular can be very noisy, especially when they hit the jakes on the hill.Sites 2 through 6 are probably the best here, being closest to the river, which is loud enough to mask a lot of the road noise, but they are best for tent camping, since their arrangement is such that an RV or camper would have to park right next to the camp road, rather than tuck away in the trees.Dogs are welcomed but there's not much to do here in the way of walks - all the paths I could find head down to the river and deadend after just a few feet, so I felt penned in between the road and the river - although further investigation might have yielded another track I wasn't aware of.Mosquitoes were enough to be a nuisance.

Clean campground. Camp host was kind and accommodating. Site 16 has highway noise, but not loud enough that we couldnt sleep through it. Enjoyed our stay.

For primitive camping, I say this place is good. We had spot 16, nice and big and away from other campsites. Only downfall it’s close to highway but we had no issues with sleeping. Camp manager is very friendly and attentive. Bathrooms were clean for being vault toilets, manager is very good with keep up. We missed the trail to the river and didn’t get to explore it. Wish we had seen the sign earlier. We did find a way down to water from campsite 10, which hope to get next time.

picked a spot too close to the highway. Too much noise.

There was a group camping there that was loud all day and late into the night (past 10). They had dogs off leash that wandered into our campsite more than twice. My children could not sleep. I had to ask them to be quiet -about an hour after that they quieted down. The camp host's site was not too far from ours so surely they would have at least noticed at night...but the host was absent for most of our stay. We left a day early as the next morning the noisy neighbors started right back up.
