The campground hosts, Robin and Bruce, were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They made us feel so welcome. In all our years of camping, we have never had such pleasant hosts. It's just a short walk to the Swift River, to the Albany Covered Bridge, to the Boulder Loop Trail, and to the Nanomacomuck (sp) XC Ski Trail. The sounds of nature were abundant rather than the sounds of traffic. We loved our campsite with lots of room and privacy. We can't wait to return.

Firewood is expensive on site, just get some before you get there. No cell service, just drive a few minutes towards turn and you can send all your messages. Park host are not very helpful, they lack knowledge on wildlife and what to do in the area. The water near site 37 is delicious, don’t use the water near site 14 lots of sediment in water. Great campground for small campers or tent. Pretty quiet and private. Not too far from the beautiful streams.

It would be helpful to have a clearer sign at the Kancamagus entrance. We missed it in the dim light. Part of the problem was distraction by the much more obvious sign across the road, for another campground.
Our hosts were very friendly. Campsite and facilities were fine. We would stay there again if our travels took us nearby.

Quiet, lots of young families, beautiful location. I think all of the reservable sites were full but most of the first come first serve sites were empty despite wonderful weather. Perfect spot for a Kancamagus adventure as long as you don't mind pit toilets.

The sites are spacious, level, and well spaced. You don't feel like you're right on top of other campers. The caretaker was friendly and helpful. Another bonus is that this campground is right on the Kanc so you're close to both great hikes and North Conway (very handy if you need to pick up forgotten items or just want post hike ice cream) . We've stayed there before and will return.
