The site and location are great. The staff can be. bristly, shall we say. On Saturday 9/6, a leaf lower started up in the morning. we went for a hike on the Boulder Loop Trail and could hear it from the summit. When we got back to camp it was still going. I approached the man that was using it and politely asked how much longer he would be and he told me in no uncertain terms that he would keep going all day. While he was particularly unfriendly, i dont blame him but really dont understand why anyone would assign him that task. Its the freaking outdoors! Presumably camper enjoyment is the underlying reason but I would 100% rather have a site buried in leaves than have to listen to a leaf blower the entire time im camping and trying to enjoy the outdoors. Covered Bridge Campground get your S together.

This campground itself is very pretty and all the sites are spacious and level. The hosts were friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. There is wood available for sale in the park. The only thing we have to complain about, which was also the case is another campground we went to in the White Mountains, so maybe this is a New Hampshire thing we don't know about? (we're from PA) which was that there are COVID signs everywhere, specifically on the restrooms saying to wash your hands frequently. Obviously there's no running water to wash hands but there wasn't even hand sanitizer.... We thought it was a little gross. Luckily we always keep some in our car. These bathrooms also smelled a little worse than some vault toilets I've been in. Oh well. All in all, we would return here, the area is gorgeous and I guess that's just rustic camping for you.

We stayed at Covered Bridge one night. It is a great location relative to activities in the White Mountain National Forest. Extra bonus is the Boulder Loop Trail that is attached to the campground (it’s relatively short, offers several great vista views, and you can walk there from the campground and not have to deal with parking). The campground is clean and well kept. Pit toilets don’t bother me- they were very clean but if you struggle with using a pit or not having a shower, this isn’t your campground. The sites are quite large and have a good amount of space between them. Picnic tables and firepits are in great shape.
