Campground is very clean. I love that there are activities for kids. We stayed over the 4th of July, so there was a bike parade, Color Run, and a movie night. Very family-friendly environment.

Its a nice campground. The bath house is pretty worn out. The trail leading to the bath house is in very poor condition and has been for years. You have to walk through mud to get there and it seems no maintenance has been done in years. The camp store was not open for the five day we were there. There were five or six camp hosts sites with campers on them but only one was actually occupied and that was in the evenings. I can only imagine that the situation will only get worse with the cuts in funding.

This was a beautiful, clean campground. Sites were big and level. Good shade in most sites. Nearby Jennings Randolph Lake was pretty and the hiking trails nice and well marked. The only complaint we have is the lax rules on pets. We saw numerous dogs tied up on long leashes (longer than 6 feet) and in pet fences that were left in the campsites while their owners were not there. This caused a lot of excessive barking from the unattended pets. Occasional barking is of course normal but this was beyond occasional. Also, we had a site nearby us that left their dogs in the yard tied and unattended after quiet hours, we felt bad for the nearby tents as the dogs barked every time a car went by. Otherwise a good experience.

We stayed in site#26 with our 30' Class A. Drive on Route 50 headed up was pretty gnarly with tow dolly, but doable, be good experience for novices.Pretty area, but in middle of nowhere like others have said (bring what you need). Nice hiking in area, some trails not too maintained. Dam area closed, couldn't see Waffle Rock, but hiked Lakeside Trail. Were disappointed with our site though. It was a rainy stay and there was a large muddy ditch running through our site near parallel next to the pad where camper door opened. Fire pit area was sloped, not to much sitting room around it. Cellular was accessible, 2-3bars, and cellular repeater helped with data. Was able to work on video mtgs, stream shows. Overall, just an okay stay, would only come back if driving through area.

Campsite was ok. Wasted weekend. Traveled and camped expecting to fish the lake but boat ramp and beach area was closed. Would have been nice to know that BEFORE driving to the campground. Camped there a few times before but this was our worst camping trip to date.

Overall, campground was very nice, around 68 sites fairly level and paved. We stayed 9 nights arriving May1st. when they first opened. Restrooms were kept clean and well stocked with paper. Trails were not kept up very well, had to climb over fallen trees. The area around fire rings was muddy and unlevel. Verizon cell service worked but was not great.Great view at the overlook on your way to sites

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
