We have camped @ Bulltown since 2005. At first we went early spring & fall, avoiding summer busy times as we prefer quieter times. We now camp only in fall; we enjoy the pleasant atmosphere & feel close to nature. As expected, we & several friends have our favorite campsites. We normally stay mid-Sept to mid-Nov & w/the purchase of a cell phone booster we are able to get cell service. This year we were VERY dismayed to find that our favorite loop was closed & we were forced to move to another no pet loop which has VERY short lake front sites (some campers fill the site). Sites in this loop are so tight that we feel cramped like sardines; we are unable to get cell service with the booster & it is 12 miles to go for a good signal; there is no view of our boat from the camper; we occasionally smelled the sewage plant; & at times we heard a dog constantly barking in the next loop. Weekends were the most crowded with traffic & noise; we even had our satellite dish turned over from kids running after dark. When F loop closed Labor Day, campers were told they had to move to another loop so some who planned to stay longer to avoid holiday traffic went home rather than move. I heard quite a lot of folks say they are unhappy with these changes, which also includes closing C loop early. One weekend it was so crowded that C loop opened due to overcrowding and I saw 2 people leave our loop & move to C to nicer spots. One camper even said that after 30 years they would never return again. Comments were made that they felt the changes don't reflect any $ savings as empty sites use no water or electric & volunteers do most of the work. I have previously told numerous people how nice & pleasant BT is in the off season but I don't feel like I can tell folks that anymore. We no longer get the quiet experience we enjoy so much, it is much like the summer season. The staff & volunteers have always been very nice and helpful so I have no complaints at all with them.

While I was there I noticed people taking their dogs in the playground where people lets their children go and play and feel safe for them to do so. I notice those people who take their dogs in the play area letting their dogs urinating in the play area where children play. To me this is not safe for the kids, there should be signs all over the play area saying no dogs allowed.
