Love the whole Hunters area. Site A is nice. However, people walk through your site all day long. Spoke with some staff that said there used to be a cable up and people would cut it and they don't bother putting it up anymore. When you ask people to go around they look at you like you're the problem and you're impeding on their rights or something. Due to the layout and proximity to the courtesy dock and beachfront it's easy to see why people walk through there there. Still annoying though. When your kids and your dogs are there, you always got to be on the lookout more than any other site.

I booked Hunter's Group Site A for a multi-family campout. As the organizer I was a little worried the site would be disappointing, but no worries necessary! This site has excellent assess to the water, a lot of room for tents and chairs and games, and was used as a path to the water by other campers while we were there (mid-June) . The beach sand was coarse but dig able. I'd recommend water shoes/sandals due to rocks. The kids enjoyed making sculptures in the clay by the water. The water was cold but levels were high.

Excellent view of lake or I’d give this 1 star. Camp site is dry and terribly dusty. All trails from dock go through this site, steady flow of people all day. The lake shore in front of site is 4 ft mud. Job site generators running all day from other campers, make hearing normal conversations tough. This site should be great. It’s definitely not.
