That would have been the perfect time to upgrade those sites. Some of the 'doglegs' entering or exiting the individual sites are pretty tight.
And yet they maintain the same width as if no turns were in place. Curve widening should have been a part of the repaving project.
Then campers could easily comply with the requirement to stay on the roadways.
Consequently when pulling trailers, which most campers do, either the pulling vehicle or the trailing vehicle will leave the pavement.
Also. Between Site 40 and Site 38 is a culvert. The culvert was initially too short for the roadway. It should have been extended by at least 3 feet at either end to accommodate vehicles with trailers leaving those camp sites. As is, only by very precise and careful steering can drivers avoid dropping one or more wheels into the ditch that culvert serves.
