We like Goose Point because of the friendliness of the staff. The mountain and lake area are in a great area. It would be nice if they would do some activities on the weekends in the evenings, like bingo or other games like thats.

We live in NC but we typically travel to VA to camp. Goose Point is in our top 3. Loop A has become our favorite as it is quiet and serene. Facilities are great! Good hiking nearby. Papa's Pizzaria in Bassett is worth the trip!

Great campground and staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Nice area to enjoy the water. Beautiful views at the Philpott dam. Already have a site booked for September!

We had a level, lovely campsite at the top of the hill. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We were in the upper campground, sites there are tight and close. We were in a 27 foot 5th wheel and there were sites we could not have gotten into so be careful which sites you choose if your camper is a little larger. Other than that is was a very pleasant stay and we really enjoyed the surrounding area and lake.

Pretty level & shaded spots. Swim beach is smallish but clean.

Goose Point campgrounds is a gem in foothills of Virginia on Philpot Lake. The campgrounds are well-kept, has modern facilities and the staff are fantastic, especially since they don't put up with people breaking the rules, disturbing other campers who are there to enjoy themselves. I've stay there numerous times and it's my go-to place when I'm in that part of Virginia.
