The campsites was good just disappointed they have drained the lake down real bad

It's the best campground in the area the staff is very friendly the camp sites are clean and for the most part it is quite.

We love being near the water and looking out over the lake! Most of the campers are very friendly! The water was warm enough to be out in it!

We liked it so much here, we arranged to stay for an extra night!The one potentially bad feature, and one that the website apparently won't even allow me to post, is that there is NO WiFi service here, at least not in April. Zero, zilch, nada. We asked the attendant, and she confirmed that there is no public WiFi. I tried to post that earlier today on the question about WiFi Service, and it came up with an error message saying "That response is not allowed." So I gave it a level of "1" in this review so it would allow me to post, but I really mean zero. It wasn't a big issue for us, but if you come here expecting to be connected without using data, you'll be disappointed. That's the only reason I gave it four stars, instead of five.Otherwise, this area was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and very pleasant, with great waterfront views - and it's dog-friendly! The bathrooms are heated and clean, with strong (and FREE) showers. Sites are far enough apart to ensure some privacy, even at full capacity.

This is my second stay at Goose Point. I love it here. Good cell/TV reception. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Almost all sites are level within an inch or so. All sites include picnic table and fire ring. About half of the sites on lowest loop are right on the lake. Bathhouse is clean and has good hot water pressure. I can't think of anything that isn't good about this campground.

Lucked out with beautuful weather, fall colors and great site overlooking the beach. Site #6. All facilities in great shape. First time camping at any of the Philpott sites. I was the only tent camper in the lakefront loop. Was able to use Google street view to check out the site before booking. Clean, quite, and an all around great three days. No wonder it is very hard to find a site in this section available. But if you are vigilant at checking open sites and are flexible you might just find a great site open. The daily 25.00 per day fee for a site with water and electric is a great bargain. And with a senior pass it is a crazy good deal! Very impressed with REC.gov website in all areas. Makes things so easy. Great experience all the way around.

Starting with the 2 sweet ladies working the entrance who seem to truly love their job, this was a great visit. Great swimming area with sandy bottom and, even after considerable rain, clear water. Camping area had a great view of the lake. Everything was well maintained. Highly recommend Philpott Lake.
