One of my favorite campgrounds. Very clean and well kept. The rangers and other staff are kind. Must visit!

We reserved site 18 online. Upon arrival, attendant asked spontaneously asked us if we would take site 11. I replied okay, and said that it is hard to evaluate sites.Site 11 was in full sunlight and not acceptable, so I called the office and said we would take site 18 after all. Attendants wife said okay. Site 18 was occupied by another camper who then had to move due to the attendants misrepresentation. Turns out the attendant gave away our site and didnt want to make the other camper move and couldnt override the online reservation system (thankfully). Too bad the attendant wasnt honest to begin with.

This was our second time at Winhall Brook and we love this place! Check-in was easy and the camp hosts were friendly and efficient. We stayed in site S18, which was quite large and level so setup was quick and easy. The lack of cell phone service (T-Mobile), internet, and TV sgnal made for a quiet and relaxing weekend. The river provided a nice opportunity to cool off on a very hot day without having to leave the campground.We highly recommend the hike from Ball Mountain Dam to Hamilton Falls (4.2 miles round trip), which was beautiful! You can hike all the way from the campground to the falls, but it's close to 7 miles each way.

The campgrounds were very well kept and the sites were very large and comfortable. But The hiking paths were so beautiful. With the river running thru the park made this experience even more pleasurable.

Fabulous! The Park Rangers & the Hosts are not only knowledgeable about the local area, but are exceedingly courteous and helpful.

Very well maintained campground. Restrooms are clean, but very worn out. No worries about the bridge in our 30ft class A.
