Lovely widespread campground! We were in site M001 with access to the lake in only a few steps. Perfect spot to watch the sunset and enjoy the lake. Make sure to bring chairs to do so. Close to the boat ramp.

Overwhelming population of Mosquitos. Fishing was horrible. They used to drive around and spray the campgrounds for mosquito control.( bring that back) I saw people packing up and leaving because of the bugs.

Although this is our favorite place to camp, they appear to be cutting corners lately. The bathrooms often lacked toilet paper, and garbage was piled up around the dumpsters. I feel for the camp hosts!

Campsites quite close together, otherwise great!

We love Diamond Lake and have been there many times but this time was very different. Hot because of the Forest Service management but because of nature. We were told to leave at 2:00 am because a forest fire had started and was close. So far we haven't been able to retrieve our boat but hopefully some day soon. Also understand when things calm down we will get a refund for days paid for but not used. Can't help what is out of human control

Went there to relax and did just that. Usually go in June or Sept. and found July is a little busy. All and all a good trip. However we found the lake itself had changed a lot--not as many weeds(which fish love), clear waterto at least 15 feet. Real different from other years.
