Great little campground; very quiet. Stayed at campsite 3, which was perfect for our small group with 3 tents. It was closest to the bathrooms, I would guess, which were cleaned daily and well stocked with TP. It was great to be able to have a campfire. Went in mid-August and the mosquitos were strangely almost non-existent (I got bit twice the last morning I was there, but that was it). There are some yellowjackets hanging around, though. Had some deer, sage grouse, steller's jays, and chipmunks around the campsite and saw and heard many osprey hunting on the lake. I would definitely stay here again. If you have a larger group, I would recommend trying to reserve either sites 1&2 together or 4&5 together, as they aren't very private from one another but are private as a pairing. Campsite 3 was pretty private on it's own and has a fairly easy trail down to the lake. 1&2 have the best water access; 4 has some good options for multiple tents; 5 would be good for a small RV or camper, but is pretty exposed. KOA camp store is a 4 min drive away and is open until 7pm for any extras/refills you might need (but Diamond Lake lodge has better prices for firewood... OR the forest is right there and is full of wood for free). Biggest downside was the lights from the dam on the lake; tried to do some stargazing down on the lake, but, it was like a giant spotlight was shining across the lake. It wasn't as noticeable from the campsite, though.

Great little camp right on the lake, only a couple folks around. Super easy to put in the kayaks and paddle about.

Mosquito's, difficult access to water for some camp sites. Tight turn radius for campers. Bathrooms are clean, haul out your trash. Road coming in is quite bumpy.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
