We rented this cabin for our yearly family get together and it mostly fit the bill for accomodating my large extended family of 9 plus several dogs. And although there were plenty of beds for everyone, the house itself was a little small for all of us. Not to mention there was only one indoor bathroom. However, we knew this when we rented it and banked on the fact that there was a vault toilet outside that we could use as overflow if needed (which we definitely did).

We were happily surprised to find out that there is an extra "storage room" off of the kitchen that has a second empty refrigerator. This came in very handy for my family that came lugging in several ice chests and food containers. Also, we REALLY appreciated the fan that was left in the kitchen area. The week we were there temps reached 110+ degrees and it was a real struggle to stay comfortable, especially in the upstairs bedrooms. I recommend bringing a couple personal fans and some cotton sheets for sleeping if you plan on visiting in the summertime.

Overall it was a nice little rustic cabin. I would recommend it for smaller families (4-6) and in cooler weather.

Two star is considered "fair" -- not bad. I'd consider this a fair experience. It's a cozy place. Good amenities. Workable kitchen and common area. The bedrooms are interesting. We probably won't be back to this location.

Very beautiful area with lots of interesting history. However, although we expected the cabins to be rustic, the overall level of cleanliness was very poor. It appears that the honor system of cleaning up after yourself is not working very well, & probably needs more management/supervision. Would like to visit here again, but it will be a tough sell convincing my wife to do so based on the conditions/cleanliness aspect of the rental cabins.
