Our favorite place to go for a quick getaway. Peaceful, tranquil, away from noisy stuff!

This was a quiet, beautiful, basic campsite that backed up to the Stillwater Fork of the Bear River. It was well-maintained and shaded. The camp host, Ivan, was very friendly and helpful and the vault toilets were exceptionally clean and well-stocked. The spot we camped had no water, but it had a fire ring and nice picnic table. Water was available from a tap not far from us. It was delightful to sit in the evening and enjoy the river. There was no cell service for us from Verizon.Stillwater Campground is about 1/3 mile from the Christmas Meadows road, with access to many trails and fishing spots. It is also about 33 miles from Evanston, WY, for shopping and other services.I highly recommend it, and would definitely stay there again!

Stillwater Campground has a lovely location right on the Bear River just below the confluence of Hayden and Stillwater Forks. The crowds on the south face of the Uintas thin out past mirror lake, making it a quieter experience than the sites closer to Kamas, Utah. It has access to some wonderful fishing and hiking. Some of the sites, mainly those outside of the main loop, might be hard to get an RV into because of short driveways or tight turns but they are great tent or teardrop trailer sites. And, as everyone else also notes, this campground really does have the cleanest bathrooms in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

Wow! Zara and Woody the camp hosts at Stillwater are amazing. I can't believe how clean the campground was, how friendly they were, how helpful they were and how nice the bathrooms were. Camping at Stillwater was a fabulous experience and all of us so appreciated how much Zara and Woody did to keep the area clean and pristine.

I apologize for not knowing the names of the Camp Hosts, but they are Rock Stars. They perform above and beyond and are always very helpful!! The toilette paper in the shitters are folded like a hotel and she places dryer sheets in the window to mask the smell. I go to Stillwater once or twice a year to sit by the river and enjoy the outdoors - I hate to say it but Stillwater equates to some of the nicer CGs in Oregon (Go Ducks).
