Marsh Lake is a gorgeous spring fed lake that has good fishing. We love to take our canoe out on the lake and find the hidden spots around shore.You used to be able to walk around the lake easily, but the trail has not been maintained. There were a lot of down trees on the west side that were extremely difficult to get over. The east side of the trail was better maintained. Its still a beautiful walk if you are up to it.

Regardless of how warm it is during the day, the night temp is cold. For example it was 82 degree during the day, but at night it was in the 40s. As soon as the sun goes down it is cold! Camp host was awesome and very personable.

Kelly the camp host was amazing. He kept the bathrooms immaculate. He was friendly and takes pride in his work. My rating was due to the herd of free roaming cattle that made Marsh Lake their home. We have been to Marsh Lake several times over the past two years, it’s one of our favorite places to camp. Our trip August 20-22 was not enjoyable. There was a herd of cattle that had gotten into camp and we’re noisy and left manure everywhere. I was very disappointed after finding out they had gotten in due to disrepair to the fencing around the camp ground. I am hoping that the fencing issue will be resolved, if not we will not be returning to this camp ground on our future trips.
