It felt secluded even though you could still hear traffic from the nearby roads. The city was close enough that you got the best of both worldsoutdoors and comfort of quick access to amenities if needed.

Quiet some nights, depends on nearby street traffic. During the day it's peaceful, too close to walking trails. But still worth the trip.

The only complaint we have is that the showers aren't open. We won't stay longer than one night or bring our grandkids until the showers are opened.

This is probably my favorite place to go camping...it's a great place to escape the city, but still be close to everything you could need (especially flushing toilets)!

I just started camping with my dog this year. This campground was fantastic! There are separate loops with sites better suited for campers/RVs and tent camping.The bathrooms were clean...although they did get dirty with use over the weekend (and reasonably so, given how many people were there). But it's great to have toilet paper and flushing toilets. This is really conveniently located just outside of Payson - literally across the street from Home Depot. You can hear the traffic, but are hard pressed to see it. I'm definitely marking this as one of my favorites.

Beth was amazing. Everything at our site was soaked due to snow 2 days before and she made sure we were all okay. We were also able to move sites for the 2nd night of our trip to a much dryer spot but were having some trouble getting a fire going due to the moisture. Beth came over and helped us out, got our fire rolling, and made sure we were alright and comfortable. We definitely owe her a huge bucket of gratitude.

Always a great stay at Houston mesa. Camp host is super nice. Bathrooms clean, grounds manicured and clean. Will definitely be going back again

Trees were down on the site we had reserved but the site host called and let me know they had picked out another great site for us. We could not be happier with our experience, the bathrooms were clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. A+
