Camped at Houston Mesa three different times and enjoyed the near-by sites especially Tonto Natural Bridge State Park.

Clean sites. They are close together, but the trees make you feel alone. Noce place!

excellent campsite. we (4 famililes) reserved Mountain lion site 1-2. site 1 can fit 3 camps, site-2 is bit small, but 2 camps can be squeezed-in. we wanted to stay closed to each other, so site-1/2 are very good. but it may feel bit too close for separate parties.both the sites were clean, restrooms were pretty good.daytime weather was awesome. we under-estimated the night temp (54F).these two became our fav sites (feedback from wives/kids)

Was able to fill up trailer with water there when we checked in. Camp space size was huge compared to so many others. Had cell reception. Never felt like we were that close to town. Right on the main path to all of the beautiful sites. Felt safe. Camp host was friendly. Overall A+ rating! Definitely recommend it.

Campground was clean and quiet. We didn’t realize that it was so close to Payson, AZ ( right on the edge of town) but it really wasn’t a problem. The sites have good spacing between them and is wooded.

This is a great campground in a great area. The camp hosts are very nice and the hiking trails accessible from the campground are neat. Even though the campground is very close to Payson it feels like you are not close to any type of town. There were some javelina running through the campground at one point which was cool to see. The campground is not at all crowded in winter.
