Houston Mesa is an OK campground. It does have potable water and flush toilets. These rest rooms however were not clean and sites not cleaned up. Some of the sites are nice and spacious, others not so much. It is a very busy campground. They have a confusing system of reservations and first come- first serve which limits availability for either one. The road noise is very loud and constant night and day. A very busy highway runs right by the campground. I would stay here again if there weren't other options and I was able to get one of the shadier and nicer sites.

I was disa ppointed the showers were closed so early in the season, it was not for freeze concerns. Way too early for that. Price was the same, but the amenities were not. Should pbe a price reduction if no showers.

Been coming to Houston Mesa for years and have always enjoyed the stay. But things have changed. Camp hostess not friendly and the facilities were never cleaned or toilet paper replenished. Bathrooms had grim that had built up over time. Really disappointing, so moving on.

We absolutely love staying at Houston Mesa and this will be our fourth time coming rather youre in a tent or an RV this is a wonderful place to go camping. I love the fact that it is extremely secluded and you feel like youre completely surrounded by the forest but literally less than 1 mile away is Walmart grocery store a gas station and tons of restaurants in case you choose to venture out. Great place for family and good memories and the host is extremely nice And welcoming to all.

I was disappointed the host would not wear a mask when interacting with me and selling wood, or the ranger who stopped to talk to me during the pandemic. But the bathrooms were clean.
