Nice and roomy cabin, the kitchen/cooking area is a little small. It has a loft so it can fit a few people up there too. Gorgeous views. The runway needs mowing (July 2023) but still doable. There is a water source just behind the cabin about 50yds towards the mesa.

Very beautiful location and well maintained facilities. The cooking stove doesn’t get hot enough to cook on so plan on bringing an alternate method to cook with.

The Forest Service has done a good job maintaining the Tanus airstrip. The heating stove has always run flawlessly and the cabin has always been in a good state of repair.
