Camping sites appear to get little use. Over all, our stay was comfortable, but the pull-in were very muddy, the grate over the fire pit was bent so badly it was unuseable, and the picnic table had moss growing in all of the gaps, causing it to hold moisture instead of drain between the slats. The trails were nice, restrooms were clean, good water available.

Beautiful campground!! Very friendly and helpful host:) Convenient location to town with a beautiful drive. The estuary boardwalk trail is a must do, as is the drive up Harbor Mountain. Our site was located near the artesian well which was frequented by locals getting drinking water. This and the estuary in general generated a lot of campground traffic. We were glad the gates were closed overnight to cut down the traffic. There was no garbage collection available, so each day we "donated" to a different public day use site garbage. The RV campground down the road offered showers with a donation.

Stayed at this campground in mid June 2024 and loved it! Current campground host was wonderful, helpful, and kept grounds in great, clean shape. Campsites offer lots of vegetation for privacy from other visitors. Gates closed at 9p, reopened at 7a to help keep campground quiet without "drive throughs" all night. Host shares gate code upon check-in so campers can get in and out if needed. Artisan well with potable water accessible throughout campground. Along with bear proof food storage boxes. Multiple clean vault restrooms throughout as well. Firewood sold at host site for a very reasonable price! Beautiful place and cannot wait to go back!! Thank you, USFS!!

One of my favorite camping locations that I’ve ever been. My only regret is that there wasn’t more time, but that’ll be amended when I come back and visit again. Jim and Pam, the camp hosts (not the iconic couple from The Office) were absolutely wonderful. In the limited time my brother and I saw them, they were helpful and kind, passing along the spirit of Alaska in their interactions with us. The site itself is gorgeous, with ample privacy, recreation and wildlife to keep anyone happy. The distance into town isn’t far, but $45 cab rides are enough to ensure you make your time in the campgrounds your priority. Hiking trails are abundant and if you’re aware of the tide times, it’s worth a kayak or paddle board excursion around the waters of the Sitka Sound adjacent to the area. I am so grateful for having had the chance to spend a few nights here. Can’t wait to come back.

My Boy Scout troop has stayed at Starrigavan Campground on multiple yearly trips. This campground is a perfect place for group camps or individuals. Beautiful campground, good convenient water and facilities, very clean! If you’re staying here you definitely need to go fishing with Islandview Charters and resort.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
