There were quite a few of deer carcasses around the cabin. Some were left by hunters, others were left behind by the tide. Just be warned if you have dogs and don't want them getting into the remains.

The oven worked! I know previous reviews had said that it was broken but it is fixed! There’s a small trail system to walk on and explore. If you decide to have a fire at night in the wood stove, make sure to open a window or two because it gets HOT quick in there! We sweated a good bit and had to crawl out of our sleeping bags haha. The cabin was supplied nicely with wood and bricks, but make sure to take things like paper towels, toilet paper, ax, etc. On the trail to the cabin near the bridge there are salmon berries and blueberries ready to pick! The location is amazing and remote with great views of nature. Great getaway spot! 100% recommend! Oh and just a heads up, there is no cell service for neither AT&T or Verizon. And bring a lantern or a bigger light source than a phone :)
Nice area with a good path and short walk. The stove doesn’t work and we couldn’t catch a fish Still had a wonderful stay and would recommend it. Do take a sleeping pad.

This is a high use cabin a short walk from a road, therefor it is a high use cabin. When we got there by kayak we had to do some clean up of garbage that was left. large green tree limbs that people were trying to burn in the fire pit. We did have a nice stay afterwards, saw bears fishing in the Creek. We hauled out what garbage we had plus the junk people had left there.
The oil stove has a leak. We put a tray under it to catch the fuel oil, but it should be fixed before there is a fire.

Easy to find. Easy access. The stove wasn't working but maybe I just wasn't using it properly, but overall it was fantastic and adorable place to stay.

Only stayed one night. Clean and perfect cabin. We had a wonderful evening.
Do not go here if there is any cold weather in the forecast, the oil heating stove is a piece of shit. Everyone who stays at this cabin says the same thing.. Please replace this stove ASAP, why ruin visitors experience with a frustrating piece of junk that does not work.. True Statement
