Great Cabin and great mourning ball, made the trip very comfortable, and the falls right outside are amazing.

Previous guests left the cabin in OK condition, but trash was left on the outside of the cabin near the fire pit. We cleaned up the fire pit, the trash and the cabin. I was at Fish Creek in November. At that time the trail was blocked at four locations with blow downs, making the hike to the stream very difficult. The blow downs are still there and the hike to the stream still difficult. A couple USFS guys with power saws could clear the trail in a couple hours. Had I known the trail had not been cleared I would have brought a power saw.

I have been going to Fish Creek for over 40 years, its one of my favorite locations and I always have an enjoyable time. Thank you USFS for keeping the cabin alive, without it I would pack in a tent, but at my age that become more difficult every year. Transitioning from an oil stove to wood was greatly appreciated, as the wood stove is easier, cleaner, and has work great.

Always a great time at Fish Creek, however, it would be nice if the Forest Service would provide wood for the stove. I’ve been three times since the stove was changed from oil to wood, and there’s been no wood all three times. Seems like a very steep price for a cabin, especially when wood isn’t provided.

Great cabin and amazing fishing. Trails along low lake are badly damaged and board walks broken by many fallen trees making it hard to explore. Other trails on the map have markers but very hard to find. Lots of seals, bears, Sitka and orcas. If you want to explore pack light and be in shape.
