Enjoyed my 3 night stay at Auke Village campground. Site #4 was a perfect fit for my Sprinter Van. Was extremely quiet during my stay! Liked being able to walk directly from campsite to the trail leading out to Point Louisa and Auke Recreation Area. AT&T cell service was a bit marginal, but worked ok with the WiBoost Antenna in my van. Only complaint is that it took a few days before someone refilled toilet paper in outhouse. Fortunately I keep my van well stocked with tp!

Great site with lots of access to the recreational area. HOWEVER, there was someone already at our site when we got there. There is no site host and no one to call (especially since it was a Saturday). Turns out, the person at our site had been there for a whole week without reserving the site. He was living at the site while he worked in town. Thankfully, there were open sites we moved to instead (even though Recreation.gov stated that all sites were booked).Bear box was great to have since we were backpacking w/out a car. Birds were also VERY loud and the crows were chirping all night.

Very private and heavily wooded sites. This is a very hilly area, but the sites are relatively level. The sites are small and best for tents, vans or small rigs. Our site number 6 was fine for our small 24 foot motorhome. There is running water that looks like it could be used with a hose to refill tanks, but we didnt. The pit toilets were above average. Went for a walk on the beach and saw sea lions and a huge flock of diving birds. Beautiful.

My husband and I really enjoyed this campsite. It was a good size, close to a spigot, cozy and clean. HOWEVER, our dog did not love the fireworks at night. We were scheduled to stay Thursday-Sunday and left Saturday morning. Our dog completely shut down and we are still dealing with the effects even after being home for a week. Whole beautiful we will never camp here again.

Great! Clean, clean bathrooms, garbage containers and water. Price is right. Great to wake up with beach close to your doorstep (camper or tent).

Lovely campsite. Clean facilities and nicely spaced. Very close to the ferry and an easy drive to Juneau.

I had a lot of issues trying to book a spot back in April. Once I was able to find a contact phone number for the Juneau Forest Service, things improved a lot. The folks at the national Recreation office told me that they thought the campground would be closed for the season. It would have been better if there were photos of the campsites available on the website. We appreciate all the crew's efforts to keep things clean given the low staff numbers.

Great campground, but should be open later in the year. Closes Sept. 30th. Come on U.S. Forest Service!

Our visit was spoiled by very noisy neighbors. There's no campground host or law enforcement patrols to mediate in this situation.

This is the most disorderly, loud campground I have ever stayed at. Both nights, other campers had parties that lasted well past midnight with loud music and fireworks. What ever happened to quiet hours? What ever happened to camp hosts who at least try to enforce a modicum of decorum?

I really loved this campsite. The campsite I had was clean and worked really well for me (even though I was hammock camping and not sleeping in a tent). The vault toilet was clean that I used and I liked being so close to the bay. I went out during low tide to watch the sunset and its really nice area around the bay. My only complaint would be someone setting off fireworks at 1 am? Not really the camps fault, just didn't make for the best sleep. Would recommend this campground though otherwise!

Dont try to camp here if you have a trailer or anything larger than a van. Super tiny and tight

Great location, there are plenty of water faucets and toilets. The beach is nearby and it's peaceful.

Very well designed and situated campground. Only complaint were the fireworks launched from the recreation area (100 feet away) that went off continuously for 12 hours each day for several days during the week of Independence Day. Made our toddler (and other babies) wail in fear. She even shook in her sleep every time a firework went off. Our vehicle, camping gear and the forest were covered in firework debris (not to mention the mess on the beach and pretty much any viewpoint in the region). Amazed how few people give for the place they live. Not sure how teenagers and broke 20 year olds can afford so many fireworks. $100 of fireworks lasts less than five minutes in Canada (90 seconds sometimes), and I sure wasn't wasting rent money on more than that.

Enjoyed our stay (2 separate nights) at Auk Village (sites 2 and 3). Sites were clean and level. Nice, short trails to the point and shelters. Quiet, but plenty of birds. We were able to walk to the ferry in 40 minutes.

The campground was beautiful! It was clean and there was good spacing between sites. It's on a point surrounded by Auke Bay. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice quiet campground. Site 3 was nice and level. Bearbox was large enough to fit 4 backpacks (but just barely). We were able to schedule a Lyft for an early morning ride to the airport, no problem.

Excellent experience here - pretty private feel with well spread out campsites in thick pines. Was great being just a couple hundred yards from the bay and a lovely peninsula. Will look to stay here again on the next visit.

Squeeling car tires and loud music until 3 am.

I try to always camp at Auke Bay as they do not have a lot of camp sites but the quality of the spots are one of the best in Juneau Alaska. All the reservations are now made on line and so one always knows that the spot is the one you wanted. And this time across from my spot some one did not move out of pay for the next day and the next person came to set up camp and the Tongass National Forest officer came and made the person move out.
And for the first time in years the camp grounds had wood on site for campers to build a fire! I loved it!! Thank you for that also.

Great location. The paths down to the ocean were nice. Water supply, bear-safe food storage boxes, the restrooms, and the campsite were all great.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
