As you would think, December is a great month to be out there. Unfortunately, there was something wrong with the stove and it was very hard to control. It seemed like some parts are just broken.

I was weathered out so I could not use the cabin. I have used it several times in the past and it is a great well maintained cabin. I hope to try again next year.

Visit this cabin at least twice a year. Great spot for hunting deer, ducks, or bear. Be aware of the long flat beach in Admiralty Cove. Any tide over 15 feet will allow you to boat right up to trail head to drop gear. Must anchor out far if you do not want your boat to go dry on low tide. Protected anchorage for winds from S and E. North winds will enter cove.

Nice place for summer, fall, or winter.
If hunting in fall, martin are an issue for hanging meat. Also please clean out the food locker on back of the cabin if you choose to store meat in there.

We loved this cabin. Tidy, great location, small fire ring. Boat and oars are there but I think a motor would be preferable.

We had a great time this past weekend at AC cabin. We kayaked over from Juneau - the cabin is a short trail hike from the beach, right along the river there. We were there mid-August and didn't see as much evidence of coho as expected, but saw plenty of bear and deer sign, and one deer. The cabin is in fine shape, the outhouse was...an outhouse, and the trail to N Young Lake was up-to-your-knees muddy. 10/10 would do it again (and will! Maybe slightly later in the month for coho).

It is a peaceful area with incredible scenery. I duck and deer hunt in the are and use the seclusion for quiet time alone.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
