Taylor Park was a great place to see the 2024 Solar Eclipse, right in the path of totality. The sites were very well maintained and adequately spaced so as to offer some privacy even though there was very little bush coverage between the sites. The bathrooms and showers were in need of updating and a couple of the toilets were overflowing while the others needed the handle held down to do a complete flush. The trail was not correctly mapped and there was no museum as indicated on the trail map.Our stay was peaceful and comfortable.

The nature trails are beautiful! It was very surprising to see the big bridges out there. Worth the trip just for the hiking. We like that each site has a pavilion, grill and firepit.

The restrooms were horrible. During the day, they were so dark and you needed a flashlight. The shower curtains needed to be replaced. One of the restrooms the light was burnt out over the sinks. COE parks, I have noticed, don't practice dark skies. There are too many street lights in the campgrounds. We complained to the hosts about the restrooms, but were told that a contactor cleans them and hasn't been cleaning them in a long time. Spider webs were along the walls, including in the showers. There were lots of trash along the trail also. We were told that the Boy Scouts pick up trash but since the virus, no one is picking up the trash. We won't stay here again. Beautiful park, but more money is spent on the hosts sites and keeping the lawn mowed that the facilities. Sad.
