Place is clean, the camping spots are nice and in great conditions, they are kind of close to each other so there's not much privacy, also you'll have to carry all your gear from the parking lot to the camping area, keep this in mind when picking a camping site.

A clean primitive camping tent site with no electricity. There are Toilet port-O-Potty's available but no showers or sinks. Water can be collected behind the park hosts campsite for hauling to your campsite. The campsites all come with crushed granite platforms and grassy areas around you. Most have large trees for shade as well. Each camp site comes with a grill and picnic table and a dedicated metal pole for hanging your water or shower apparatus. There is no way to park beside your campsite so you must park in the provided areas and haul in from the parking lot. This can be a long walk so bring a suitable wagon or other way to haul in your camp gear. The North Fork of the San Gabriel river is feet away and you can kayak, fish and swim in the water down under the bridge. Kayaking may or may not be optimal based on rain fall and lack of rain fall can make the river very shallow and only ankle deep in some spots and too rocky to Kayak on. One mile down stream from the bridge will lead you into Lake Georgetown. Fishing is fun and easy in most spots but it is recommended you leave the small fish and crayfish to only catch and release. There is a very long shaded walking path you can use that can be quite nice to walk with your dog. Remember that the temperatures in June/July/Aug/Sept can be about 112F on some days so don't forget to hydrate and wear very good sunscreen. The primitive camping is tough to do when the temperatures are high and this location may be be more fun to access in the later months of the year to be able to experience grilling, camp fires and cool fresh air for comfortable sleeping. RV's are not permitted here, just tents. There is on onsite caretaker on the property all the time. Please be kind and respectful to him. Check in's with Rec.org do not require you to talk to the onsite caretaker so please don't bother him during your check-in. Simple use this site to book your campsite, pay for it and go directly to it and set up your camp.

Amazing little place for a night camping trip. The bathrooms need some work, they are full and the toilet seat in the men's room is broken. Other than that it was a great little campsite.
Attention non-white folks. Attention people who don’t hold American passport. This place is a racist place and hosted by racist folks. I got there at/around 8:30 pm, was walking to my camp site that I had reserved for myself, this guy walked up to me and asked me if I liked the USA, if I was a terorist, and he told me that he is racist. It’s completely dark and I am alone and there’s only the two of us! He was a danger to me. I called the police because his campsite was next to mine, the police didn’t care at all. They didn’t have ven call me back nor showed up. I left the area even tho I had a reservation for two days. Police didn’t do anything. I didn’t feel safe. Next morning, I talked to the park ranger and they didn’t do anything either. They told me to talk to the host. I go talk to the host, he says he doesn’t care. He will not talk to the racist guy, it was between the two of us. He told me to do my own thing. I asked him if the racism is fine at this campsite that he hosts, he refused the answer and said i know better so I should not ask this question. He turned back and didn’t even listen to me after that. THIS PLACE IS RUN BY RACIST PEOPLE AND ANY RACIST-HATER person can hurt you in no time. This is white supremacy. This is unacceptable. You don’t get to treat people like that. What a question to ask?!!!! His question was, “Are you terorist”
