The place is, in general, nice. However, the lack of showers makes it difficult to stay there more than two days for those for those not traveling in RV. Also there should be someone in charge present in place to give indications, and to whom ask questions.

My husband and i enjoyed camping at Tejas Park. It’s a secluded campground with a river & woods to explore. BUT after a few days we found a drug syringe hidden under a thin layer of dirt roughly 10 feet away from our tent. Since we were concerned about other families renting site 01 and children potentially finding dangerous items, we kicked around the dirt and found two more syringes strewn around and disposed of them. I would suggest camping at Russell Park or Jim Hogg until Tejas Park addresses this issue! (be careful if not)
we don’t want anyones children getting stuck and catching infectious diseases .

Very convenient to have a fire pit and bathroom nearby with a lot of green for pups!

I really like this park. I have camped in Tejas Camp Park at least four times. Several of these trips I arrived on bicycle from the Lake Georgetown Trail.
That said, and with the memories of those visits I am sorry to report I feel the park is no longer on my 'favorites' list.
Problems: The entrance road has a huge car damaging hole right in the middle of the entrance! Several times I was awakened by the sound of cars dragging on the ground and metal parts being bent and broken. The Pit toilets ventilation system is not working. However the door latches are improved! The Camp Host is a wonderful man! I'm sorry he has to deal with the trials of being the point of contact for this park. The tent pads are eroded and no longer level... all of them, I was there through the day on a Tuesday, and being the only camper there I walked the park to see if there was a pad I would prefer... nope. There is still no way to enter campsites 1 through 4 or 5... without having to lift your baggage over a crotch-wrecking metal guard rail. Come on, put some openings in there so we don't have to park on the county road and cross at the low spot in the railing.
The area outside of the park looks like the runoff to a truck stop. Mud, pot holes and trash. I have cuts all over my arms from trying to reach the trash to throw it away. Clear some brush at least!
