The park is beautiful and the park host were a kind and knowledgeable couple from Massachusetts who corrected some issues we experienced right away we LOVED everything both tent and shelter camping!
I'd never been here before and booked the only available campsite in the park on a Friday, which was a "group shelter" campsite. This is a screened in small cabin with a full sized bedframe along with a twin bunk bed. You need to supply your own sleeping mat/pad/etc for these beds. In addition there is a charcoal grill for each cabin and picnic tables. This is obviously designed for families with small children. The thing that disappointed me about it is that these campsites are very close to one another - my cabin was about 15 ft away from my nearest neighbor. That happened to be a occupied by a solo camper who abandoned the cabin and pitched a tent even a bit closer to mine, maybe 10 ft from my cabin door. Some of these campsites had a little more space, but you really don't have privacy. There are fairly clean bathrooms and a dedicated spigot for running water. Quiet hours were posted from 10 PM - 6 AM, and there's a park host nearby, I am quite sure anyone violating this would get shut down and/or thrown out quickly. Outside access to the goodwater loop trail, there is a beach (which seemed pretty nice, fine grained gravel in lieu of sand), and a boat ramp. I didn't really get a good look at the primitive campsites, but from what I saw it didn't look like there was much in the way of more spacing there.
For the group shelters, if you have a family with kids this could be a good choice for a "camping" experience. If you're looking to get away from the world, or hang out past 10 PM with your friends with music on and talking, this is not what you're looking for.

I had some very confrontational rude neighbors. The spots are too close together

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
