This is our go-to campground. We love it so much. Large lots, GREAT hosts, beautiful/peaceful place. They lose one star because of the four showers in the bathhouse, only one is completely usable. Two or three have no hot water. One has no light bulb. The door of one does not close so you cannot lock it. Only the "handicapped" one works completely, and it has a bench that partially extends under the shower so you cannot stand straight under the shower. Also, it floods so bad it's almost impossible to put dry clothes back on.These conditions have existed at least since we began going to this campground 8 months ago. So - not cool. We are very grateful that at least one of the showers work properly, but how hard can it be to change a light bulb and fix the hot water heater?Otherwise, what an excellent place to go!

In nearly all ways, Bear Creek is superb. We love the large camp sites, the peace and quiet, and amenities, and the friendly staff. One sleeps feeling safe and comfortable. We have stayed here 3 times. The showers are subpar, even though we've reported the problems. There are three showers. Of these, one has no lights, one has no hot water, and the door to one does not shut complete, thus preventing it from being able to be locked. One shower, the one designated for the disabled, has lights, hot water, and a working door/lock. However, it floods horribly, so that one if left with either wearing wet clothes out of the bathroom or stepping outside to put on one's clothes, hoping no one is around...On one occasion, I observed a maintenance guy knocking on the women's bathroom and immediately, without waiting for an answer, barging in. I was not amused. The grass gets rather long from time to time. The staff who man the gatehouse are incredibly helpful!Despite the shower woes, this is our go-to camping site. We love this space so much!

My wife and I enjoyed our weekend. The staff was great and very friendly. The campground is in need of maintenance. Several sites need roofs repaired over the tables and our electrical hookup was very loose but worked fine. The dumping station was out of order but we were able to use a dumping station that was about 7 miles away.
