Great park! Campsites clean. The part time staff does a great job. County or Park needs to fix the large holes at the entrance area, its hard on trailers and boats etc.

Clean, quiet park. Level sites, ours had nice shade and view of Lake Waco. Nice covered picnic table at sites. Very friendly and helpful staff.Will definitely go back again!

Speegleville park has always been one of my favorite places. BUT, this time not so much. Our campsite #26 had maintenance done way back at the beginning of summer. The same cones still stood in the same spot and the ground was never smoothed out. But my main complaint was the showerhouse!!! We stayed 5 days, they were NEVER cleaned. The single showers had NO hot water, it's WINTER!! The Handicap shower on the ladies side the door would NOT shut and the Handicap shower on the mens side was SO NASTY!!! This park has always been one of the nicest, but the last couple of times we stayed we have been very disappointed. Grass not mowed, not clean. It's very sad.

The park is beautiful but had not been mowed. People had brought their own mowers to mow their sites. Also, there is a problem with the dump station. The dump inlets where you are to put the hose from a trailer are too high which make it hard to dump. A fellow camper pulled up, didn’t attach a hose and just opened his black tank valve letting it spill onto the pavement and then had a water hose rinsing it down the drain. He told someone at the dump station that was how it was done there. I find that hard to believe since what he did contaminated ground people walk on with sewage.

Awesome place. Very spacious sites. Most sites have a shelter over the picnic table. need to work on the bathhouse.

The temporary entrance was horrible. We had just picked up a new pickup camper & in order to not bounce it around we could only go 5 mph or less! It looked like going across the fields would have been smoother! How about a warning on your website, that would have been nice?!

was there in Jan. 2023. the entrance was under construction which caused a long and confusing detour. the park itself was nice, on a lake, and sites well spaced. it is on the airport approach for Waco so a fairly continuous stream of air traffic. the restrooms were in pretty rough shape

The roads were under construction and directions on where to go was poor. The pipes were not insulated and froze. For the most part it was pleasant otherwise.

I have stayed at Speegleville and Airport Parks several times while visiting in the Waco area. I have found facilities in these areas to be clean and in good condition. Park personnel have been courteous, friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying in these areas again the next time I am in the Waco area.

Love the sites. They were clean and most had canopies. Bathrooms were clean and heated. Views were fantastic. Staff was pleasant and informative. The wildlife (Armadillo and deer herds) were incredible to see and a real treat.

We used this location as a base for Waco attractions and a rest from 2 weeks of "work" in New Braunfels. We of course visited the Magnolia empire, which were outstanding. If entering from Waco, use the recommended off ramp, but if coming from the west or wanting to exit the park, use Speegleville on/off ramps, much easier while towing.

Great park. Good location by Lake Waco. Level paved parking. Lots of space per RV spot. Quiet. Beautiful area. Saw deer and a live armadillo! Great cell service. 5 bars on IPhone. Don’t know about bathroom facilities. Will use the park again.

A slice of Heaven! Beautiful Park. Well maintained. Friendly and helpful host. There are no bad camp sights as all are spacious and far enough away from your camp neighbor to feel cozy in your own spot. We enjoyed our visit at this park. The only recommendation I have is don't believe your phone GPS - continue down the road a bit farther from where it tells you to turn - you will recognize the entry from the photos on this website. We and our guests ended up at another nearby park on the first try.If you plan on dinning in Waco be sure to check out Jake's Texas Tea House for wonderful Retro atmosphere and great food.
