We have been camping at this park for well over 14 years and have always appreciated the amazing onsite volunteers and gate attendantsthey are GREAT! However, the cleanliness and upkeep of the park have noticeably declined over the past few years.The campsites are no longer cleaned thoroughly after each use, such as pressure-washing awnings, cleaning picnic tables, BBQ pits, fire pits, and so on. In the past, there were a couple of ladies who cleaned the park daily, and they did an AMAZING job! Unfortunately, we rarely see the service company now, and when they do show up, they often just 'rake' the gravel at the sites without doing any actual cleaning. Additionally, the grounds are only mowed a few times a year. And each site desperately needs a coat of paint on the awning. This park used to be exceptionally well-maintained, and its disappointing to see the standards decline.So, be sure to bring your cleaning supplies, insect spray to use in the grass/awning areas, and a broom to clear away the spider webs. Once you're all set, sit back, relax and enjoy the company of the campers around you!

Considering all the flooding this year the park was in pretty good shape, the bathrooms looked good and the dump station is back working so we had a very good camping trip. Deer everywhere we had fun watching them.

The sites needed to be mowed

The dump station was flooded the day we left so we had to find a place to dump. Also the grass needed to be mowed. Campers brought mowers to do it themselves. Other than that our stay was good

This was our first time camping at Speegleville, and we had a great time. The park and facilities were very clean and well kept. The office personnel were very friendly and helpful.
