When we arrived .. trash was there from the previous occupants and wasnt taken away.Other than that pretty quite and peaceful.

I recently had 2 visits to this park. Both within the same week. And I used 2 separate campsites with 3 separate reservations, haha!The wildlife is abundant at this park. There are deer everywhere - so drive in slowly. I also saw toads, frogs, armadillos, water snakes, and more. We caught and saw a ton of fish too. The gar were breeding in the shallows, so they were everywhere splashing. My wife and I caught stripers, catfish, and some unusually large perch. Its a recreational lake but the fishing was pretty good.The camp grounds restrooms/showers are pretty clean. Most of the camp sites here are for RVs, so you won't be waiting to take a shower or use the restroom. There's a boat ramp in the park with multiple lanes. There's plenty of swimming areas. There's gas stations and small stores nearby. Larger stores are within a 15 minute drive.

Me and my three sons camped there for five days while we hunted the public hunting land around there. It was nice, however I will say that two of the showers did not have working hot water. This made for some very cold showers considering that it was already in the 30s outside.

Do not site 31 it needs upkeep screen has little tears needs to be replaced, the wood part has holes as needs to be replaced needs some repairs on it the door has a gap in it needs something done about that and fan does not work and the park rangers do not come around like they said they was suppose to otherwise its pretty nice

It was a left a little messy from the previous camper, but overall, the location is always a great hideaway. #31

Beautiful lake view not far from our screen shelter. The bathrooms are ok. The showers need to be updated, as well as the electricity in the shelter. The shelter needed new screens. The staff is very helpful. Wouldnt mind returning at another time.

Facilities in need of urgent repair. Screens damaged and missing on shelters. Doors rusted and damaged. Ceiling fan inoperable. Indoor picnic table damaged and warped. Dim lighting. Trash left behind in shelter. Restroom facilities filthy and showers inoperable. Only one working shower in the entire campground and the first night it only had cold water. One shower room door completely missing. Damaged faucets. Hand dryers and soap dispensers inoperable.

Check in went well. Rest rooms were kept as clean as possible. Attendants were great and looked into any and all of our concerns. We will definitely be back. Wish they were open year long or at least through the end of November.
