Our experience was going very well until we got to the dump station which was an incredibly bad experience. We knew that the dump station was problematic based on previous visits, but this one was the worst. The construction of the dump station requires extra effort and patience since the station inlet is higher than the outlets of many RV's. It looked like other campers simply dumped on the concrete apron of the dump station. It was a toxic biohazard at the dump station. Very unpleasant.We evenually did not dump, planning to wait and visit another location.

Nice and quiet no frills rv camping on lake Waco. Just what you need and nothing that you dont. For the price it cannot be beat.

We had a great time - the gate attendants were friendly and helpful, Park hosts made the rounds occasionally. The sites were clean and the grass was mowed. We were part of a larger group camping together, and I think we all enjoyed our visit.

Great park. Sites are spotless when you arrive. Even the gravel is groomed. Currently the main road is being rebuilt and the backup roads are not in very good condition. Take it slow and watch the clearance as you go through some of the gates.

Our family had our annual Thanksgiving camping trip here for the first time. We made sweet memories with our children and grandchildren. We had a little trouble leveling our class c motor home but that wasnt a problem. The dump station is poorly done because the holes are higher than the rv hoses.

We stayed three nights in Speegleville Park at site 7. This was a very good, level site with a limited view of Waco lake but we still could see the gorgeous full moon over the lake. Site 4 has the prime location on the lake to us and when we stay here again we would want this site and stay longer. I just didnt get to stay long enough in this great RV park and Waco.

The park was in great shape. Grass was doing ok with drought. The only concern is the dump station height. Our RV (Airstream) dump outlet is lower than the dump inlet which required a lot more hands on than should be necessary. With 3 axles, the number of blocks to get to adequate height is problematic as it is dangerous and unsanitary. The resolution is for one side to be elevated to above able center height or higher.

The park is simply beautiful and well maintained. The sites are deep and spacious with coverings. We were in the shade almost the entire day. Also the park is close to shopping and eateries if you need last minute items or meals or want to visit Waco. We would recommend the park to anyone and we plan to return and stay longer our next visit.

Great COE park, really not a bad site in the park. Water and electric but no sewer hook-ups, although there is a dump station. You may want to use your "blue boy" if you stay for an extended period but the dump station, while nice, is a challenge for dumping a "blue boy." Lots of deer and birds, nice lake for fishing or boating. Firepit, grill, and covered picnic table at each site. Two issues to be aware of, first the condition of Overflow Road leading into the park from TX-6 is horrible so slow going entering or exiting the park is a must. Second, the bathrooms were fine but only one of six shower rooms was operational and that shower room had no lock for the door. If there were sewer dumps at each site this would not be an issue, but when you are trying to limit the contents of your camper black/grey tanks the shower issue is problematic, not to mention privacy and personal safety. Overall, great park. Will return.

The bathrooms were disgusting, all but one shower was unlocked, and the one that was open did not even have a door knob, and the water was freezing.
