We love this campground! If it had Full Hookups, it would be 5 star!! Almost level sites, great views of the lake and wildlife, quiet and dark at night but close enough to Waco! The roads could use some love and the grass needed to be mowed around the sites.

Got there after dark with no reservations. No problem. Just found an open spot right on the lake and reserved Id online. Done! Nice park!

Loved the scenery. Easy to back into spot. Clean facility. Friendly staff. Several types of wildlife to see. Fishing close by. Loved seeing the airplanes fly over. Would definitely stay here again!

Gate attendant was awesome and friendly. Park was clean as usual. Had a great time with our family and friends.

We loved how close this park was to Waco. There were so many deer. They came really close to our RV when we were setting up...almost to greet you or protect their deer, we were not really sure. If you walk at night, you will see glowing eyes everywhere. There were also a lot of turkey vultures and a few armadillos. The lake is really lovely and we had a site overlooking the lake. We were there in the off-season. Very quite park and you do not hear traffic. The sites are nice and long and have a canopy over the picnic table for most sites. There are no full hook-ups, but there is a dump station.

The campground has a lot of potential. Its a beautiful spot with a lot of wildlife and waterfront access. Things are feeling rough though. The pavilions looked nice in pictures but were not nearly as nice in person. Theyre due for some rust mitigation, repair and paint. The roofs are beat up along the edges. The dump station is one of the worst Ive experienced and the bathrooms were at least clean, but wheres the soap? Gross. The dump station positions the inlet almost on the same level with the outlet of many trailers and meant that my dump hose sat on the ground about 12 inches below where it entered the dump inlet. This made a mess while trying to dump and it clearly had for many others as well. One of the most poorly planned dump stations Ive ever seen. Another complaint is the lack of foot trails around the lake. I guess its not a state or city park, but its a pretty area and campers and visitors could really enjoy it more with somewhere to walk besides the roads.

We've camped at this location twice now. They are so very friendly. They recognize us by name already and treat us like we've been there for years. So welcoming, clean, well maintained, and overall what I would consider a retirement age friendly spot. Ive not heard overly loud music or late night drunk parties. Its been such a nice change to our former spots in other local rv camping places. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away with beautiful scenery.

We loved our visit at this campground. The weather was not cooperating but thats what you get in January. Definitely want to come back for a stay in warmer temps. A lot of wildlife.

Great place to stay. Beautiful view of Waco Lake. We had multiple deer sightings. Only 15 minutes from The Silos. Also the Wooly Mammoth Monument nearby is a great experience

Beautiful Campground, lots of space, well maintained, large clean sites, nice lake shore. Lots of deer and armadillos were seen. Spent Christmas here with many other campers. no disturbance) Dark at night, lots of stars. Quiet. Had 50 amps, water and dump station on our way out. There are restrooms and showers. The showers could use an upgrade but are usable.

Just across the lake from Waco, it is very convenient to go into town. The park is clean and laid out well. We were on lot 25 which is long but it slopes from front to back and our 35 ft fifth wheel was difficult to level.

Spacious, pretty lake side Campgroup. The host at the booth was very helpful for registering and welcoming. Site was big and far apart from each campers. One thing thou, bathroom is like a mile away. So, i really hope you are the master of your bladder or so.....

We had been on the road several weeks and were looking for a pleasant place to stop early in the day to relax and enjoy the scenery. Speegleville fit our needs perfectly.

Our site was immaculately clean when we arrived . Our site had a shelter built over a stainless steel picnic table which was perfect for sitting outside. We had a beautiful site along the lake with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We watched the deer graze right outside our window at dawn and dusk each day . The grass was mowed all the way to the lake so walking was easy . Sites were spaced far apart allowing for privacy and quiet time . The hosts made regular drive throughs and were very kind at the gate . We loved the accessibility to the Magnolia Silos and other Waco attractions. We would highly recommend this park .

This park is amazing! Although we love to socialize the sites are spaced well away from others! The area has deer and we can’t wait to get a kayak and come back.
