I enjoyed 3 days of camping and mountain bike riding. My campsite had a great view of the beautiful Pat Mayse Lake and easy access to the fantastic Barber Hills trail system. The trails were in great shape and a lot of fun to ride. Kudos to the folks that build and maintain the trails.

There are 3 separate areas for camping. We have camped in two of the areas. Each was enjoyable. The stays have quiet and peaceful with other campers around. It is a beautiful area.

We love the setting at Sanders Cove and booked it specifically to have a pretty tree-covered spot overlooking the lake. The grounds are well maintained and we really enjoy the hiking trails. Unfortunately we were disappointed during this visit as we did not see anyone from the park during our 8-day stay (not even while checking in at the specified time) and due to the campers next to us having fires during a burn ban and leaving their site a mess with trash. Even though we were there during the off season, we expected to be greeted or visited by the camp host and for them to enforce some campground rules with our neighbors. It may not keep us from coming back but definitely took away from the experience as a whole.

Hosts were friendly, helpful and accommodating. (They assigned us a slot with a great view of the lake!) Campground was clean and well kept.

First time taking our Gazelle tent out. We were able to find a suitable spot even though it was an RV space. Had a birdseye view of the boat ramp so that was entertaining. Sucks being the guy with 6 guests and didn't bother making sure the boat would start prior to arrival. The couple at the gate are the nicest people you can meet and very helpful. It was nice seeing an active Park Ranger patrolling also. We're planning to go back soon.

This is a beautiful place to camp. The only negative were the crews who were working all around us searching for unexploded ordinance. That wasn't so much scary (the area was last used as a live fire range in the 1940's) as it was just detracting from the quiet beauty of the place. Also, the speedboats and fishing boats launch early in the morning so you won't be sleeping in if you are close to the boat ramp.

Just stayed one night while traveling through. Beautiful view of the lake. Getting in was a little tight but we were pulling a 45 ft fifth wheel. Would not hesitate to make reservations here again.

We like this camping area, but I think it's time for some major upgrades. For instance...the picnic tables/benches look like they are about 50 years old and some of them are wobbly, cracked, etc. Now, let's talk about the restroom facilities. They are sweltering, filled with all types of insects, and are terribly smelly. Aren't we past the in ground porta- potties? They don't even have hand washing facilities! What happens to the fees that are collected? Can't that money be used to upgrade the camping facilities?
